Halcyon Days :: What Is Halcyon Days?
Halcyon Days the site encompasses all that you see here. It has been fashioned in the style of the instruction manual of Rockman DASH as shown below in an image of one of the pages.
The DASH in Rockman DASH, which stands for Digouter's Adventure Story in Halcyon Days, is where the site takes its name from. By using Halcyon Days as the name, the hope is to convey the relation of this site and its story to the world of Legends (DASH) and its locations and people in the broader sense, rather than to just the events of the games and such.
Last and most importantly Halcyon Days is the name for what this site is all about, a story set in the world of Mega Man Legends and written in the "choose your own adventure" style. This means that as you read you are able to make certain decisions along the way which will have effects on the outcome, leading to various places and numerous potential endings.
One thing that makes this different from most regular fan fiction is that the story does not revolve around Legends characters, it just takes place in the Legends world. Readers won't be cringing when Roll Casket is out of character, because she's not in the story. However, the story takes place in familiar settings and to keep the experience comfortable the lead characters do have intentional resemblances to those you already know. This is the world of Legends though, so you will see familiar faces throughout the story, it just doesn't revolve around the Caskets and Bonnes, etc. Please enjoy it!
