"I bet it's gonna be a real nasty one, just the way I like them," he says to the island's only other resident, his faithful canine companion. The old dog lifts its head and gives a little whine. "Oh don't worry boy. It's still early afternoon, I'll have this fixed in a couple of hours and the storm won't hit until sunset or so," he says with confidence as he turns his attention back to his work. Yohmi is a 17 year old "part-time" digger. Trinban Island has been his home for several years now, and also serves as his personal lab for his research. His mind often drifts back to the hard times he had grown up with on his poverty-ridden home island of Neebo. The only cars he had seen until he was 13 were merely rusted shells, due to the fact that there had been no way to power them for many years. Having grown up on an island which never had enough refractors, he came to hate them and mankind's dependence on them. He has decided to devote his life to finding new energy sources. To effectively harness the power of lightning is his ultimate goal. Trinban reflects Yohmi's work very well, as the small island is covered with large machinery and massive lightning rods. Remnants of ancient stone homes also stick up from the ground here and there. "There! Got it!" he exclaims as he shut's the panel door he had been working under, "and with that we should be all ready for tonight." Yohmi takes another look at the approaching storm. A zig-zagging lightning bolt strikes in the distance, exciting him. "Can't hear the thunder yet, but it's coming in faster than I... What is that?" he suddenly pauses and pulls out a pair of binoculars. Adjusting them, he focuses on a small air ship, apparently making its way toward the towering ruin. Seeing it as nothing exciting, he hops down off the top of a large piece of equipment and proceeds to check over the island for any other preparations he might want to make. The wind is blowing pretty fiercely by the time Yohmi finishes his rounds. He notices that one of his lightning rods is leaning considerably. From where he is standing it appears to still be properly attached to its accompanying equipment, but it might not hurt to check. Still, the storm is coming in fast and the first few drops of rain begin to fall...
