Adventure Unfolding...

Another lightning strike convinces Yohmi to just wait awhile, but the storm seems to go on well into the night. With the equipment ruined within his home there is no way to tell if his rods are being struck except that sometimes they feel close enough. He decides to just try and get some sleep. His sleep is a restless one, but slowly the hours pass as he tosses and turns. In the middle of the night as the thunder becomes only a distant rumble, the dog begins to bark. Half asleep he takes a look outside but all is pitch black. "Calm down boy, I'm trying to sleep," he says as he pats the dog's head and stumbles back to his bed. When morning comes the skies are clear and the air very damp. Yohmi feels quite refreshed and takes a walk around his little island to assess the damage. After making the rounds he plops down with a notepad and gives a sigh. "So that's rods #11 and #14 collapsed completely, all adjoining equipment to #14 is totally destroyed. A total of four batteries charged nicely, but two batteries completely destroyed due to double lightning strikes on their rods... Not to mention the whole island's a mess with mud and debris all over the place," he complains, rubbing his temples, "Just what the heck happened last night anyway?" Yohmi now goes for closer inspection. Rod #11 seems to have just collpased due to softening of the ground beneath it and the wind factor. #14 on the other hand is a total mystery. Yohmi find that the rod's surface is bubbled, as if it got so hot that it began to melt, but the cold rain stopped it. The accompanying equipment is completely destroyed, bits and pieces of it are found all over the island, the majority apparently landing and sinking in the ocean. At the spot where the rod's base was once nested firmly into the ground there is now a large pit. Looking down into the muddy water, Yohmi can tell it is quite deep. "Looks like a ruin entrance..." he says curiously, "I can't believe I never discovered it..." Yohmi gets the urge to explore this new discovery, but also realizes that he has a tonload of work to be done after last night's disaster. But then maybe a look into the ruins might help him figure out why the machinery all blew up... What Happens Next? Be responsible and get to work on the repairs... or Grab the underwater gear and take a look down in the watery pit...
