Halcyon Days :: Yohmi's Story
With waves like these there's no telling which way the boat may suddenly drift. Yohmi decides his best option is to
swim for it while he's as close to the ruins as he may get. He climbs back into the sinking ship and takes off his digger's armor, sorry to have to lose it in addition to his boat after the years they've seen him through.
With a dive into the dark, churning waters Yohmi takes off toward the ruins to the best of his average swimming ability. He reaches them but the outer walls are solid and slick
with no way to grab a hold. He claws helplessly, trying to get any sort of grip at all but to no avail. After a minute his boat comes rolling toward him on a large wave. Already on its side, it strikes the side of the ruins and capsizes. From one lightning flash to the next, Yohmi watches as it sinks deeper and deeper until it disappears completely beneath the waves.
"I'll be joining you soon," he says, knowing that the same fate awaits him soon enough...
