Halcyon Days :: Yohmi's Story
Yohmi simply cannot resist the lure of what is presumably an unexplored ruin. He runs to his house and grabs some gear for heading down into the water. With his armor, buster gun and rebreather, he is all set. He takes a deep breath of fresh air and a look around at the beautiful day it is before plunking down into the flooded pit. His eyes adjust to the filtered lighting as he sinks slowly down.
At the bottom of the initial fall Yohmi finds he can go two directions. Intuition tells him to check one way first. He discovers a refractors, what an incredible, instant find! Of course, it is the shielded variety which means he will have to locate some keys or a switch to lower the barrier, but at least he knows where it is. As he stares at it, he notices some movement in his peripheral vision. He wastes no time in turning and aiming as a vicious looking reaverbot swims directly toward him at high speed. It is a type he has never seen before but it is an ugly one, that's for sure.
Yohmi jumps to one side, keeping his buster on it as he slowly rises and it zooms past him. It takes some doing but he manages to destroy the reaverbot without taking any damage. He looks around for any others which may be in the area but it is a pretty confined space and empty now except for himself, the refractor, and the debris of the reaverbot as it falls to the floor. Yohmi helps himself to the refractor shards before proceeding back the way he came and then moving down the corridor in the opposite direction.
